“Bulletproof coffee” has become a popular addition to some people’s diets, but is it all its claimed to be? I answer that Q in this vid!

Thank you Will, just like it should be told, the facts the actual truth behind the claims and a LOGICAL view of things. Once again there is NO magical potion out there. Good consistent clean eating with good consistent clean training, simplicity in the basics is what gets the job done! GREAT job thanks again!

    Interesting…
so it’s not total BS, it’s just 95% BS. I thought it was a total scam after looking at the webpage (and the prices). Especially when I saw that the guy wants you to buy his own magic coffee beans which are supposedly less “toxic” than normal coffee beans.
The story how it came to be is also classic, and has all the alternative health quakery red flags. Protagonist is exhausted after climbing the Himalayans and is “rejuvenated” by an ancient, long-forgotten “secret” beverage. Protagonist then proceeds to “research” this hidden knowledge (“Bro, I spent so many hours looking up this stuff on-line, I’m like, an expert!…or something”), improves (“biohacks”) it, and sells it for 10 times to value of the ingredients.
I guess a can of coke would have rejuvenated him just as fine.
I did find the part about butyric acid interesting though. Could you go more into the benefits of this fatty acid? I am always looking for an excuse to eat more butter.
Also, you briefly mentioned grass-fed vs non-grass fed. I know in a previous vid you mentioned how people take probable benefits of grass fed beef (like a better fatty acid profile) and then transfer these benefits to other bovine products, eg whey, which makes no sense as whey protein is a highly refined product anyway and there is no difference if it is derived from milk from grass-fed or corn-fed cows.
It would interesting to know, in what areas it actually does pay off to invest in higher quality foods (grass-fed beef, pastured chicken etc…) and where it doesn’t. I guess anything lean, like chicken breast, wouldn’t be much better, as pesticide residue, hormones etc accumulate more in fatty tissue (and for a favorable fatty acid profile one would have to ingest fat of course as well), however, this is just me guessing. Maybe a topic for another vid? 🙂

    HI Will,
The other piece that Dave A claims is:
    1. His coffee contains no mycotoxins
    2. The other roaster’s coffee contains these toxins.
    Any thoughts?

I have seen no objective support for such a claim Jim.

“Hype and nonsense….” says it all. Anything added to my Kona turns it into bullshit coffee.
