So what is Best Time To Workout? Early in the morning? Mid afternoon? Between 2:12pm and 4:18pm??? When does testosterone peak? Does it matter???!!!
I answer this age old question ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!!

always useful info.
I’m 59 years old and my challenge is, after I do a work out or a sprint type of jogging I get tired and it takes me a couple days to recuperate. Is there a post workout drink I should be taking and do you recommend one?
It may simply your volume and or intensity levels are too high for you to recoup from, and other variables like total cals, macro nutrients, sleep, other activities. etc. A post workout drink may help, but I doubt it’s going to “cure” the issue.
I agree. I am 64 yrs. old and still train 6 days a week using the 4X10 method. For those who don’t know what 4X is, you take a weight with which you can get 15 reps, but you only do 10; rest 30 seconds, then do 10 more–and so on until you complete 4×10. The last set should be to failure–you can even add X Reps. If you get 10 on your last set, add weight to that exercise at your next workout. Using a lighter weight due to the short reest intervals does safe wear and tear on the joints and ligaments.
exactly what i tell my clients for 20 years!
I would have enjoyed your comments on the best time for workout… however I am hard of hearilng and was completely shut out from your comments… and I would be willing to bet that there are other readers who felt the same.
Have you tried turning up your volume? It’s as clear as can be on my comp speakers.
Just watched and listened to the video. Had no problems hearing it. Check your speakers make sure there still good.
I also have a sound problem. Can hear you but not as good as other sites.
Simple and great advice Will
All studies have differing results and the reason is that we are all individuals who respond in different ways to everything wheather it be training time, type of stimulus or supplementation- we are all unique and need to find out what works for us. Using studies as a guide is good but eveyone needs to understand their own body and your own unique requirements
Thanks for the lesson, I have heard so many times morning is best since you can always remember. The way that was just said sounds great and even better. So when should I do PT morning or when best for me? Because when I do the academy it will be in the morning.
It confirms what I’ve always felt.
I go when I feel I can give it my best shot. Early to mid afternoon.
I knew the answer before I watched the video but it was nice to have it validated by my most trusted advisor.
Man i love the way you study enough so that you can get exactly to the point, no BS !!
The real world is not exactly the world where studies take place..
Keep it up !!
tru i can not agre more:)
Makes complete sense to me. I got after work, 6pm-8pm M-F
Thankyou very much Will. Much appreciated. I find you very easy to watch and listen to. What has put me off videos is your typical ‘infomercial voice’ which makes me want to scream “shut-up”. Regarding the topic; you answered my question, so thanks again. It is astounding how the answere to the simplest question is usually common sense. New Fan
I agree wholeheartedly! Being a personal trainer I know it’s hard enough to get people to train consistently let alone setting up a specific time.
I have read that you shouldn’t train back first thing in the morning, something to do with the synovial fluids in the spine.
Hi Will, enjoyed the comments in the video, I find I enjoy a workout in the late afternoon as I am at my best and when I’m done I can head home for a shake and dinner, I find I am most tired in late evening so I never train at that time, or if I do its to help my rotator cuff injury which I have had for almost a year due to a karate injury. As I am semi-retired and self employed I can please myself when I go.
Will I am looking in all my folders for the fasting cardio video. I think I may have errased it.
Hi Will, just watched your video on the best time to train and I agree it is best to train when you feel up to it and the best time for me is late afternoon because I’m not a morning person and I feel too tire in the evening, so you are correct in your thinking
Hey Will, yes, I would like your 5 fitness reports for free today and ..
